Spring is in the air and with a new season comes new staple pieces. The obvious of sunnies, sandals and a maxi dress don’t always fit the bill when you live in the UK…which is why I’ve put together my top three staples for the *hopefully* warm weather that is soon to approach!
First on the list is quite the trend piece at the moment and I’m loving how a simple hair accessory can completely dress up an outfit! A personal favourite of mine is the srunchie/bandana bands. They make it look like I’ve made such an effort with my hair when in reality I’ve just chucked a hairband in for decoration.
I currently own two of the bandana bands and multiple srunchies. I’ve found the best place to shop for these pieces are both Primark and H&M. With both affordable prices and such a variety of colours and patterns you can’t go wrong. I’m planning to pick up the red polka dot one soon!
Another great hair accessory are statement clips. If you’ve not been living under a rock then I’m sure you’ve all seen the pearl hair clips all over the gram – sooo cute! I am yet to purchase some myself but they’re definitely on my shopping list for SS19. Check out my top picks below…
The Basket Bag
ICONIC right? I remember seeing this style of bag everywhere last year but never got my hands on one. Come 2019, I found this little beauty of bag in Primark for just £10 and trust me it went straight in my basket.
I personally love the texture it adds to any outfit, a skirt and jumper just looks cuter with this bag. Styled with a beachy bohemian outfit or with a casual everyday outfit – it’s a must have for Spring.
Classic White Trainers
Last but not least, you NEED a pair of white trainers for Spring. The kind of shoe that will go with any outfit. The shoe that will save you on the days where you don’t feel like wearing sandals and potentially stop you from freezing your toes off (dramatic, I know).
But seriously, white trainers are the one. This pair photographed below are actually from Primark and I’m not afraid to admit I own TWO pairs. Why? Because they were £12! So when one pair gets dirty, I’m prepared with my back up haha!
