So you’re thinking about booking in a brand photoshoot but there’s one thing holding you back…posing. And girl I get it, no-one wants to look like a robot or a statue. But don’t panic! That is exactly why I’ve created this blog post. Get ready to learn 6 quick and easy poses so you can look and feel confident in front of the camera…
Not sure what to do with your hands? Try this pose! Lifting one arm up to your face with the other one resting across. It’s natural and easier than ever. Simply look straight into the camera lens and either put your model face on or crack a little smile! You do you boo.
Again, if you’re not sure what to do with your hands… this one is for you! Simply decide on a prop and use this as your key posing component.
As I am an online business owner, I decided to use my iPhone. I use my iPhone on the daily to interact and engage with my clients, so this was perfect for me. However, I recommend you choose a prop that represents your brand and your personality! This could be a lipstick, a handbag, a notebook, your laptop etc.
This is one of my favourite poses! It screams confidence and also has a really cool vibe to it. Simply sit on some steps and have one foot a little behind the other. You then want to tilt your head back ever so slightly and let your hands fall naturally.
Play with your hair! Something so simple yet massively overlooked. If you find yourself regularly not knowing what to do with your hands then let this be your go-to. You could lift your hair up and look to the camera like my client above, or you could touch your hair whilst looking to the side and smiling (more candid).
A classic pose that will work for virtually anyone! Turn your body slightly to the side and put one shoulder forward. You can then pose with a natural smile or even a little natural laugh like my client is showing above.
This is the pose for you if you want to ooze confidence and girl power! Stand with your legs parted and have a strong posture. Make sure your photographer shoots from a lower angle to really capture the power in this pose.
